Sophrology in Sport

Jack Draper is currently the British men’s no. 1 tennis player. He won his first ATP tournament in Stuttgart this summer and is now ranked no. 28 in the world.

Just two and a half years ago, in January 2022, he was no. 275 in world rankings. That’s when he started working with sophrologist Alice Bull. One year later, when she was still working with him, he reached no. 38.

Alice understands the pressures and demands of peak performance. She helped him learn relaxation and focus techniques, enabling him to stay calm and less reactive in high-pressure situations.

Jack says: “The work I have done with Alice has massively helped my tennis and mental clarity, not just on the court, but in daily life too. Sophrology is a great tool and something that I will continue to use throughout my career”.

Alice and Jack have stayed in touch since then. He says he still uses sophrology exercises and Alice’s audio recordings frequently.

A great demonstration of how Sophrology can effectively boost sports performance.
