Addiction is more and more a part of our society. From substances to behaviour, from legal to illicit there is a lot to learn, consider and explore.

During this workshop we will:

  • Understand and define addiction
  • Acquire an understanding of the different types of addictions (drugs, prescription, gambling, eating disorders, gaming, pornography, shopping, meditating,- anything can become an addiction)
  • Discuss the roots and multiple causes of addiction
  • Develop your ability to assess your clients’ needs and design a protocol to help your clients in their recovery

This workshop counts towards the Health and Mental Wellbeing Specialist Diploma.

Benedicte Mannix

Benedicte received an Advanced Practioners Diploma in Sophrology, and holds diplomas in both counselling and transgenerational therapy. She is experienced in working with those coping with trauma and addiction and has a deeply empathic approach.

She is working in a retreat centre utilising Sophrology to assist people suffering from depression, anxiety, PTSD, OCD, and a variety of other disorders.
